Why this site exists

Going to a big sporting event is mostly a logistics problem wearing a dress code. Which enclosure does your ticket admit you to. What will they turn you away for at the gate. How do you get there, where do you stay, and what does the day cost once the ticket is paid for.

Almost nobody writes that down properly. Retailers publish outfit guides because they sell clothes. Ticket agents publish hospitality pages because they sell packages. Both stop at the point where the useful detail starts.

What we publish

We cover tennis, horse racing, Formula 1, skiing and football, and every guide answers the same four questions: what the venue enforces, what the ticket includes, how to get there and stay nearby, and what the day really costs.

Every rule is checked against the venue's own published guidance, and we date it, because dress codes and ticket terms change. When a venue has no rule at all, we say so. Wimbledon has no dress code for grounds admission. The all-white rule is for players, and the codes that do exist apply to Members, Debenture holders and hospitality areas. Almost no one writing about Wimbledon outfits will tell you that, because it undercuts the reason they are writing.

How we pay for it

The site is free and there is no signup. Some guides carry affiliate links, and if you book a hotel or buy something through one we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those links never change the advice. If a piece of kit is not worth buying, we say so, and the recommendation would read the same either way.

What we are not

We are independent and not affiliated with any governing body, venue, race organiser or event. We do not sell tickets or hospitality. Always check the venue's own guidance before you travel, because these things change and we may not have caught it yet.

The football archive

Our World Cup 2026 coverage stays online. Visas, border crossings, fan zones, ticket prices and where each match was watched. It is an archive now, but the guides are still useful, and the football section is being rebuilt around matchdays, tickets and stadiums for the seasons ahead.
